Walk the very same streets where the hippie movement of the 1960s and the Summer of Love all began.

The Haight-Ashbury Highlights:

  • Take photos outside the past digs of world-famous musicians like the Grateful Dead and Janis Joplin. If you’d like to learn all the deets, consider booking a walking tour.
  • Take a photo on the famous Haight & Ashbury intersection.
  • Awesome vintage stores and plenty of places to pick up tie-dye. Don’t miss my favorite vintage store Wasteland. Crossroads and Buffalo Exchange are also good second hand stores with multiple locations throughout the city.
  • The Panhandle: The “panhandle” of Golden Gate Park. A popular biking and jogging path just below Haight St. Also popular for BBQing and frisbee.

Food, Bars, and Coffee:

  • Magnolia
